I have a problem with my video card.?

Ok, so I have an Nvidia GeForce 8600GT and we installed it into our Gateway 830GM, but when the computer starts up, we aren't getting the monitor from showing anything? When we pull it out, the monitor starts up again. See, I already have an integrated video card in this computer, is that the problem? Do I need to somehow bypass the integrated card, or do I not have enough power to power the monitor and the graphics card? What is the problem?

It sounds like you may not have moved your video cable. You need to connect the monitor to the VGA or DVI port on the video card, not the built-in port. You may also need to go into the bios and tell it to use the PCIe video card instead of the built-in one. But I'd try switching to the correct port first.
