Building a gaming computer?

i have been given the following components;





Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 Socket LGA775 processor





BFG Geforce 9800 GTX / 512MB / PCI Express 2.0 / Graphics Card





as my computer knowledge is limited i need some help on creating a compatible computer rig, any suggestions on what i could build? i have around 拢500 in my budget

Go to newegg.com and look into the moderate price range mother boards. Gigabyte and ASUS are great brands to shop with.





You will need the following...





1) A mother board (suggest ASUS personally)


2) RAM (2-3GB DDR2 800Mhz - heat sinked)


3) Case (Look into ThermalTek or Coolmaster)


4) DVD Drive (Pickout a SATA 2.0 one)


5) Hard Drive (For gaming look into the WD 500GB drives or the WD Raptor 150GB drives and get a second)





You should do pretty well with your budget.
