I have a Vaio and I want it to run XP, it originally came with Vista.?

I can only find drivers made for the Vaio but for Vista. Vista makes my laptop lag like crazy, please help!

Bring it back to your dealer. If he is responsible he might be able to help you load XP in in place of Vista at no charge. Otherwise, there might be a nominal fee.

can't u just do a fresh install with the XP cd and then download any drivers that is needed
Reply:Hi, before you downgrade to XP double check that you have all drivers, check Sony website and Google it,if you can't find it, don't go for it, it won't worth the hassle,if your laptop is slow put some more memory ( 4GB ) will do it, uninstall the rubbish software that sony preload in your laptop and you should be sweet.

just format the vista frm the machine and install xp with the SAME SERIAL KEY and xp is a lower version

jus call some comp guy and get it done

Reply:Not a problem at all.. I think first thing should be mentioning your exact model number at the forum so you can get specific help. Getting XP on Sony should not be a problem apart from 1 or 2 drivers where you need to use tactics.
