My computer is not able to hibernate?

earlier the hibernate was working well . but recently it started saying ' not enough system resources to complete the API'

talking of system resources:

my system has 2gb ram

this problem is likely to occur when no free disk space is available but it has atleast 200 gb free space
My computer is not able to hibernate?
maybe its not winter
My computer is not able to hibernate?
Are you using Windows XP?

Here's Microsoft's response to the problem: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=90909...
Reply:You are probably running too many programs at once. Try closing some programs. If you have closed them all then check if there is anything running in the background. Press ctrl+alt+delete and bring up the task manager. In the bottom of the window you should see CPU Usage followed by a number and a %. If it is a high number (50% or above) then you have too many processes running in the background. Click the processes tab and end task for all processes except for systray and explorer.exe and ones being run by the system. Only end ones that are being run by your user name. This should free up some resources. Hope this helps.
Reply:The hibernation file size is equal to the amount of RAM you have installed. 2G of RAM requires 2G of hard drive space, so if your disk free space drops below 2G then it can't hibernate.
