Go into Control Panel..... 'sounds and audio devices' and turn off the boot up sounds.

Your computer is probably overheating. That could be from a loose heatsink or dust/dirt blocking airflow through the CPU heatsink.

if it shutdowns by itself u might have a trojan :(

about the volume, maybe ur comp automatically turns the volume back on =/
Reply:I don't know about the self-shutdown thing, but to disable the sound on startup go to the Control Panel and select the sound device and there should be a section for system sounds, simple select no system sounds and press apply, and the annoying startup sounds will be gone.
Reply:Regarding the sound, do what the others said. Regarding the shuting down, well u could have a virus, or overheating could be the problem, and when it shuts down, do u get any error, or a blue screen of death?
