start%26gt;ctrl pannel%26gt;add or remove programmes
My pc keeps telling me im running out of disc space?
for windows xp: start - control panel - add/remove programs.
Reply:Go to "My Computer" and into the Harddrive that is low. You are going to have to delete programs or other files to make room. Another way is to find Disk Cleanup in the Start Menu %26gt; Programs %26gt; Accessories %26gt; System Tools. This will allow you to delete temp files the computer makes automatically.
Reply:start bar

control panel

add/remove icon

then look for stuff in there you no longer need, dont delete stuff you dont know because it could be your sound, internet or graphics.

or clean it, right click on C drive in my computer and click disk clean up

or defrag it, times time though, go to start bar, all programs, accessories, system tools then click degrament

or buy a bigger hard drive they are cheap now

or format your PC
Reply:go to start click on control panel goto add and remove go though and delete any programmes you dont need
Reply:here are some options to lower your disc space:

1. uninstall programs you dont use...go to start%26gt;%26gt;control panel%26gt;%26gt; uninstall program.

2. Disk cleanup - Right Click on your drive, select properties. under general tab there is the diskclean up button. Tick all the options.

3. Compress Disk Space. Right Click on your drive, select properties. under general tab, tick compress disk space, press OK.

4. Delete unwanted files (docs, media, etc)

Goodluck!
Reply:you can also do a disk cleanup to remove any useless files. just go to my computer then right click on C if that is the name of your drive (it usually is). select properties and you will see a nice pie chart showing how much space you have free.

select disk cleanup and tick the appropriate boxes to clean up. (mainly the recycle bin and temporary internet files.)

you might also find it useful to defragment your hard drive to make it run faster.

go to start%26gt;control panel%26gt;performance and maintenance%26gt; rearrange items on your hard disk. then you analyze and defragment the drive.

these are instructions for windows xp so sorry if you have something else.
Reply:Use Google to search for CC Cleaner and download it and run it to clean up the disk and sort out registry. You can download it from here

http://www.filehippo.com/download_cclean... I use it on my XP Pro machine and with VISTA 64 Ultimate and I really rate this free software as an excellent cleaner for beginners as well as experts
Reply:HERE'S THE FASTEST WAY TO FREE UP YOUR HARD DRIVE:

1) Click on Run then type %26lt;%temp%26gt; (without the quotes) and then click on OK. Select all the items then press on Del key to erase of temporary internet files/cache.

2) Then click on Run again then type %26lt;prefetch%26gt; (without the quotes) and then click on OK. Select all the items then press on DEL key to erase.

3) Run a "Disk Cleanup" to erase all the System Restore Points except the most recent restore point. Windows save a lot of restore points that you don't need. This will free up to 4 gb of hard drive space. You can delete the restore points by choosing "More Options". Also, when performing a Disk Cleanup, make sure you check all the items to delete these junks.
Reply:disk clean up

more options tab

delete restore points, you will get gigs back
Reply:you heard the answers above...

caution though about Seths answers... "dont overdo" deletion on prefetch folders.

prefetch helps your computer run faster by loading the programs you use most, deleting it much would really slow down your computer.

Why? coz if u delete contents in prefetch folder like everyday, and you use a certain program everyday, you basically are not using prefetch anymore coz ur are deleting the prefetch contents

Also u can delete temporary files which is %temp% ONLY if you arent having any problems with your recent downloaded files/programs.

Everytime u download something, it is sent to temp folders (which can be found by searching %temp%)

Now, when u download something that is corrupt or, not downloaded properly, u can basically go to temp folders and reinstall it from there.

well, if u have fast internet connection, a new download would be better, but if u have dial-up, temp folder would be of great help if you downloaded something thats corrupt.
Reply:use disc cleanup and add or remove programs also you can manually delete by right clicking on a file and pressing delete (does not work with programs)
