I've connected monitor to motherboard through hdmi to dvi-d cable but their isn't any diff. in picture quality

i've m2a vm hdmi motherboard,firstly i connected my viewsonic super hd monitor by dvi -d cable then i bought hdmi to dvi-d cable


but i didn't notice any improvement in picture quality why?

Basically, because both DVI and HDMI send exactly the same signals. The big advantage of HDMI is that it's thinner (because it doesn't include the extra wires for analog) and that it carries audio as well as video.
