Which Brand Laptop to buy?

Hp, Compaq, Toshiba, Dell, Sony, Mac, etc.....





Basically I need a laptop that has good battery life, big screen (15" - 17"), 2gb or higher. I need it to cost anywhere from $500 - $900 bucks. Can anyone help me out here.
