Transfer rate is so slow!!!?

I download something, it's at like 70kb/sec then it closes for some reason, then I try and download it again and it's at 21kb/sec. What the hell is up?

It may not be you, it could be that the server or person you are downloading from has limited bandwidth available, for a true test go to http://www.thinkbroadband.com and run a speed test. If you still get low speeds, reset your router, clear your internet temporary files, if that doesnt help call your provider.

If downloads from other sites are at a faster rate, it's probably the source server that is having problems, or is simply over-loaded. Try later.

Give this a run, it should speed things up a little





You may have to open some ports which can be tricky





Also if you are in a wireless system it is likely that there is a weaker service which is lost in the wireless transfer





I have the same problem, it's hard to fix :/
