Speakers cracking on laptop?

my 3 day old new laptop makes cracking sounds whenever i play music, whether i am using the touchpad, typing, or neither. usually, im just running a music player %26amp; AIM, so i dont think my computer isnt fast enough to play music without interruption.

is there some way i can get rid of the cracking by changing the properties of anything? i have windows vista, %26amp; would appreciate a step by step tutorial (if one even exists) to rid this problem.

I couldn't tell you about any programs. But if I were you I'd exchange the computer because it sounds like a problem that probably won't get any better with time... good luck.

if the crackling still happens after you've muted the speakers, then there is a hardware problem, some wires are phisycally touching

otherwise I would suggest updating the audio drivers either by using Windows Update and see if there is anything out there or by going to your laptop manufacturer's website and looking for audio drivers (outdated drivers)

have you tried rebooting the laptop? it helps on my desktop when I run windows on there for days on end. reboot, not hibernation or sleep.
Reply:I would return it before your warranty is up. Seems like that model has a problem. Your computer should never do that under any circumstances. Regardless of the cause. It will never go away.
Reply:I think you must uninstall the music player and reinstall it again bcz same problem I had and it recovered now...

all the best to it...
