DEL inspiron 8100 The boot takes +45 min and computer seems to run every 8 sec cycle cannot get to safe mode?

256 MB RAM, 1.2 MGZ CPU.


Mouse moves every 8 sec cycle.


Fan goes on once in a while.


Hard Drive makes a noise about 8 sec cycle.


Clock is moves 1 min every actual 15 mins.

That's very long booting time. Windows could be messed up. Repair or reinstall it.





I used to have a Pentium 3 550mHz with 3x128Mb RAM. It boots Windows XP in less than a minute.
